Keep your Home Organize
Follow these guidelines to maintain order.
1. Become a clutter detective
Look for items that tend to accumulate, then create a new home for them. Clutter is a sign that your current storage system isn't working.
2. Satisfy the urge to purge
If your storage spaces and closets are overflowing, donate or toss what you no longer use. One easy rule: At the end of each season, go through your closet and get rid of anything you didn't wear this year.
3. Schedule a date
Designate the same day each week to sort your mail, pay bills and file important papers.
4. Do double duty
When you can no longer close the junk drawer. It's time to reorganize. Set aside 15 minutes to do it. You can even multi task and talk on the phone while you sort.
5. Work on one room at a time
Completely finish one area before going on to the next task. It's the most efficient method.
